Description: This is footage of the band performing one of their hits, "Make Me Smile", only 3 months after it hit the Top 10. Infact, it was their first big hit. So, this footage is obviously very old. It was filmed on July 21, 1970 at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA. This features the original band which included Terry Kath, Peter Cetera & Danny Seraphine. The other four musicians still tour as 'Chicago' with their replacements. Quite nicely, I might add! Enjoy! |

screamfff ::: Favorites Musicians that could actually play music!!! I feel sorry for kids today; being fed DAT recording, sampling etc. & being told that's where it's at. I beg to differ... 07-09-29 00:22:52 __________________________________________________
michellezappa ::: Favorites The first time I listened to Chicago I was 13 and I thought that Terry was black, because of his pure soul voice. 07-09-28 00:16:31 __________________________________________________
GeorgeRizov ::: Favorites Go Jimmy Trombone!!! James Pankow rocks! 07-09-25 16:25:56 __________________________________________________
at90percent ::: Favorites I somehow never noticed on this song how Terry and Danny are perfectly in synch playing the same rythm at the same time. 07-09-24 00:25:18 __________________________________________________
kimmelr ::: Favorites Sorry I keep chiming in with the same response, but thanks so much Chicagokid from a fan who hasn't stopped loving Chicago since the beginning!! There must be a growing group who spends a bit of time trying to figure out who you must be to have your hands on all this vintage footage. Are you a son of a member of Chicago?? (like you are really going to let us know!) 07-09-23 20:55:32 __________________________________________________
GrandmaPS ::: Favorites Once again, thank you so much for all these videos. They really take me back to the 70s. Jamie, do you know if there's a video of the complete Ballet anywhere? It would be wonderful if you could get your hands on that and post it. That instrumental "To Be Free" that comes right before "Now More Than Ever" is one great piece of music. 07-09-22 13:04:18 __________________________________________________
blammin ::: Favorites That's funny that you say that, I was talking to an old friend about this video earlier TODAY and he quoted the same thing about Hendrix! What a trip man. Kath just rocked in this video, I think I have watched it about 20 times. 07-09-20 03:29:22 __________________________________________________
jakerandall123 ::: Favorites Jimmy Hendrix once said that Kath was one of his favorite guitarists ever..He was mine too. he inspired me to play for 40 years...Thansk Terry..I miss you 29 years later Bro'. 07-09-18 20:28:27 __________________________________________________
DanTheManDavis ::: Favorites Right on Brother ! 07-09-18 17:37:10 __________________________________________________
rbassmanw ::: Favorites my comment was not to take away from his inspiring lead work. just meant he was the real deal on both aspects of his playing. Hendrix said Terry was better than him! Add that great voice, he should be in rnr hall if he isn't already! 07-09-18 17:02:07 __________________________________________________ |
