i believe the tests, check for the connection between your router and your computer.. not your computer -> net.

802.11n isn't a ratified standard yet (still in 2nd draft), so maybe different manufacturers have implemented 802.11n in a consistent manner yet, resulting in lower speeds with different products..

Another example, your home broadband.. lets say you had a 4 meg connection it doesnt mean your connection will run at 4meg directly; thats even if you were connecting to a friend through the net who also had 4meg.. Depending on your download rate and your friends upload rate you could potentually download 4 files from your friend if both his and yours down and upload rate were both up to 1 meg .. or any combination providing it doesnt exceed 4meg..make any sense lol

If you had listened (lol) he did say he bought the pcmcia cards for the relivant manufactures routers to run the tests with.. so it was tested truely on the draft 802.11n signal. point to point.... I dont know what you guys expect, this is the draft 802.11n anyway.. Not only that, its up to 300mb bandwith if you like. So you can get up to 300meg, but in combination i.e six laptops connecting each given 50 meg would total a throughput of 300meg.
