Description: This song is called "Dark Eyes" it has nothing to do with the Bob Dylan song by the same title (sorry). There have been a lot of versions and transcriptions of the song. Originally it was a song mourning love, it was later turned into more of an up beat song by removing a lot of the more sinister verses. This is the ORIGINAL gypsy version of the song. I translated it over to english, playing around a bit with the translation to make the song flow better. I finish the last verse of the song (same as the first) in the original Russian. To my knowledge there isn't an english version of the song that's been recorded? |
