Description:

(part 2) This is a large-scale radio-controlled B52 with real turbine engines. The wingspan is at least 17 feet, and I think this footage was shot in Great Britain. I wonder if it would be hard to get a radio-control plane this size after 9-11-01? Would love to know who built this model, its very well done.

I saw ths aircraft being built on one of the UK TV channels, I missed the episode where it had gotten airbourne. I'm pleased I've seen it fly after a year of watching for it on TV!

Thats really cool... excuse my ignorance, but are they real working jet engines on that thing? Like spinning turbines etc? I wouldn't think engines that small would be effective....

you got it they are real turbines they are very effective ,some larger ones producing 50+ pounds of thrust. not cheap either $1500 for a small to midrange
