Under the pen name Lewis Carroll a man gave to us a golden afternoon filled with mad tea parties, odd queens and of course the infamous tart trial. However in the Winter of 1985 a wonderful young actress Natalie Gregory brought to us the story of Alice. I remember this movie fondly and when I was little my mom had recorded it for me. However unfortunately someone had recorded over it with an episode another television show. I am not sure as to what .. I think it was general hospital. LOL. Any who for years it was left unwatched until it was brought to DVD and sold on ebay. I am shocked that not many have actually watched this version of the story. Especially with wonderful stars such as Red Buttons, Sherman Hemsley, Sammy Davis Jr., Telly Savalas, Ringo Starr, and Anthony Newley. This is part one of the two part story. Much like lady in white.. the additional scenes that carried importants were not shown until about over ten years later. But yes that scene is very important. It is melancholy and it is sad ..it is depressing but it is alice facing her fears and having to grow up. __________________________________________________ | |

I believe they did remove an imporant line from the scene: "That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," "I don't much care where --" said Alice. "Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat. A very telling statement.
