sonofjoelny2002 ::: Favorites Wind in the Willows is one of the great stories, and it's fascinating to see how different films interpret it. The claymation version heightens the laconic, day-in-the-country atmosphere, the 80's Saturday morning cartoon (my personal favorite) takes a lyrical, almost mystical approach at times, and this Disney version very much situates in the lovable, cozy, but wacky Disney universe of the 40's. Wind in the Willows is a great book and I love to see how different films interpret it: the claymation version , the Saturday morning cartoon from the 80's (my personal favorite) has a lyrical, occasionally mystical quality, and this Disney version turns it into a comedic but ultimately warm and cozy kid's tale. 07-10-02 01:59:14 __________________________________________________

Ken7Lord ::: Favorites Yeah, I remember that part too. I still have this movie and I still love watching it. There are two cartoon series or stories on the movie. The first story with Mr. Toad is called "The Wind in the Willows" and then the second story is called "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and it was that story with Ichabod Crane. 07-08-21 22:04:02 __________________________________________________

Ken7Lord ::: Favorites This is such a cool movie! I know that this movie came out in 1949 and they made a 50th Anniversary Edition movie and released it on VHS back in 1999. They also made a Gold Classic Collection Edition and released it on VHS and DVD back in 2000. So awesome. When 2009 comes, they should make a 60th Anniversary Edition of this movie and release it on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc.
