Ginny never told her family or friends, because she knows that the Malfoy family hates her´s. When Draco tells her that he recently became a Death Eater, she doesn´t know if they should be together anymore. She remembers the time before they wre together, how she always cared about him when he played Quidditch, how she wanted to go to the ball with him instead of Neville and the little letters he wrote her ...
