Saw Johnny do this song in Phoenix '87. He was so out of it, he couldn't remember the first line. So when he noticed me singing in the front row, he gave me the mike until he could pick up the song. RIP, Johnny.

Why do people think it's "cool" to be a junkie? I saw him live a couple times. Pathetic. Sad. It's a shame how his "fans" and "friends" encouraged this behavior. They certainly contributed to killing him.

the song appears to be a re-write of richard hell's "blank generation." who wrote "in cold blood"? thunders, hell, or someone else?????????????

You're right, in that it does sound a lot like 'blank generation'. Although I wouldn't be too harsh on Johnny, and accuse him of ripping it off. Since the meter, and style has been used so much since Richard wrote that. After all, one could also accuse Richard Hell of sounding a helluva lot like Lou Reed.
